If you are looking to appoint us replacing an existing acting accountant, we can agree to either communicate with your existing accountant for you, or await you telling us you have suitably done so. Ordinarily we write to the previous acting accountant, getting all relevant information from them enabling us to hit the ground running.
We attach here for information only a copy of the normal type of Engagement Letter we ordinarily look to put in place so you and we know our basis of operating, and understanding.
The Engagement Letter includes our responsibilities, refers to key matters, dates etc; and to our business terms etc. Do rest assured that each specific engagement is individual to you and your circumstances so the letter provided here is only as a guide / for reassurance.

Approaching Your Current Accountant.
Where we approach your existing accountant, we send a letter, broadly along the lines of the attached, so as to get from your accountant the relevant information thereby enabling us to efficiently take up acting for you, and with us fully up to speed on the background.
We ask and we provide to them a signed authority for them to release information to us.
